Tl;DR: WINAMP is the best music player ever. We want you to make a Winamp Skin. We will send you a ~really cool ~ object. examples of winamp skins from https://skins.webamp.org/ ~~~~some context~~~~ The internet is a space for media, creation and remixing. Customizing UIs (myspace, AOL aim, tumblr) has always been a way for internet explorers to be a part of the internet and its culture . Winamp, the music player, allowed you early on to customize your audio player in a desktop envinronnement. And it turns out that some music geeks and creatives have been keeping the tradition alive... much thanks to the internet archive and Jordan Eldredge creator of the Winamp Skin Museum. With this YSWS we wanna encourage you to actively participate in this internet culture: create cool things and share them with terminally online ppl. ~~~~about the YSWS~~~~ The requirement for this YSWS is to make a skin (ofc) and upload to github (include source design file), upload to the skin museum, fill out this form and post to the slack channel. Oh - definitely checkout these crazy and bizarre skins ~~ the more hacky your custom skin is the better ~~ As a prize, we'll send you a SkinAmp sticker and a CD with the original WinAmp source code... ...and for those crazy enough to make over the top skins we'll add a unique sticker and a printed booklet show casing all the submitted skins!
